In 2012, the founders of SAM owned and operated over 50 CPA firms in California, servicing over 200,000 tax and financial clients, and employing over 200 CPAs. After many frustrating experiences with lack of client interface ease, obsolete tax processes and increasing expenses, the founders saw a need for a change which would benefit both their own practices and dramatically improve the client experience.  Even though technology has touched the fabric of every part of our lives, most CPAs operate as if the year was 1970. What still exists are old school practices such as face to face client office visits, tax documents being copied and mailed back and forth, and CPAs spending more time on HR issues than their clients.
